New music roundup (no. 16)

More brand spanking new music for you to get into in this latest New Music Roundup. Let me know your favourite in the comments below…

Tourist – ‘Together’
‘Together’ is the bouncy lead track from Brighton producer Tourist’s new ‘Patterns’ EP, which is out on 2 December. It makes for a very exciting preview of the new EP, which adds further to Tourist’s reputation as a producer to watch. Listen to ‘Together’:

Foxygen – ‘We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors Of Peace And Magic’
Foxygen are an LA-based duo with a strong psych-rock leaning. This lead single and title track from their debut album is crazy and awesome in equal measure. It’s like Kasabian if Serge let his mate Noel Fielding take the lead in the studio for a night. Find out more about Foxygen here.

Luxury – ‘J.A.W.S’
‘J.A.W.S’ is London producer Luxury’s first single, which earned a release through Method Records thanks mostly to Disclosure including it in their Radio 1 Essential Mix. Since then, it’s gone on to earn a standalone play on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show and has now earned well over 200k streams on Soundcloud. Add to that number below:

Real Lies – ‘World Peace’
‘World Peace’ is part of a double-A side debut single from new London trio Real Lies. The other track on the release is ‘Deeper’, and both are euphoric dance-pop tracks with a hint of 80’s nostalgia.

SOHN – ‘Lessons’
You may know SOHN from his recent production work on BANKS’ ‘Waiting Game’. The Vienna-based producer is signed to the 4AD label that is home to the likes of The National and Daughter, and ‘Lessons’ is his latest solo single. Check it out:

Rhodes – ‘Run’
‘Run’ is taken from singer-songwriter Rhodes’ debut EP ‘Raise Your Love’, which is out on 28 October through Hometown Records. It’s simple, affecting and beautiful – no need to say much more than that really! Listen to it below:

Blank Maps – ‘Lucky Dip’
Blank Maps have been in this space before, for their single ‘Everything Ends’. New single ‘Lucky Dip’ continues their run of exciting new releases, and keeps the appetite well whetted in anticipation of a debut album.
