Arcade Fire in Brooklyn

How to get Arcade Fire gig tickets

Right then, as there hasn’t been any more announcements about further dates it looks like Arcade Fire – or ‘The Reflektors’ – will just be playing the five dates in the UK in November. That means getting tickets when they go on sale tomorrow at 9am (Friday 1 November) is going to require you to be quick, prepared and a bit lucky.

I can’t help you with the luck side of things, sorry, but in terms of being quick and prepared I’ve got your back.

First of all, here’s a link to where you can buy tickets from 9am from Ticketmaster.

Click it, bookmark it, and make sure you have it open and ready to go dead on 9am tomorrow morning.

Usually at this point I would list the details of the different venues so you could try and buy tickets direct from the box office, but it looks like Ticketmaster have got the market cornered so they’re your only hope.

What you need to know

You’ll only be able to buy two tickets tomorrow, and as the gigs are strictly ‘for the fans’, you won’t be able to sell them on secondary ticket sites like StubHub etc… This is probably a response to the madness that went on at The Reflektors’ recent gigs in Brooklyn, when tickets ended up being re-sold for thousands of dollars!

The gigs at Glasgow Barrowlands and Blackpool Empress Ballrooms are listed with the requirement: ‘formal attire or costume mandatory’. I doubt that will be enforced too harshly on the night, so if you’re a spoilsport and don’t want to dress up then hopefully you won’t get turned away. Why not live a little and dress up a bit though, eh?

Tickets for the two shows at London’s Roundhouse (11 and 12 November) are listed as £42.25, whether you get standing or seating tickets. The tickets for Glasgow Barrowlands (15 and 16 November) will set you back £33.00, and the Blackpool Empress Ballroom show (27 November) will cost the slightly weird price of £34.10.

If you’re going to be braving the Ticketmaster site tomorrow morning then good luck! Let me know how you get on in the comments below…
